If, by “these people”, you mean feminists then I absolutely do. I support the feminist mission of equal rights and equal treatment of men and women. Absolutely.
Am I a feminist? In so far as a man can be a feminist, I would say I am. However, I believe that when it comes to the feminist movement it is my job as an ally to women to support women who identify as feminists and do what a can to foster a society in which women are treated equally. I do not believe it is my job to claim feminism of force my way into being a part of a women’s movement.
In short, I support feminism and women in feminist movements but do not feel comfortable identifying myself as a feminist as I do not believe it is my job to decide what is and is not feminist - up to and including myself. Does that make sense?
